Man and Van Oadby Removals

Our man and van service in Oadby is charged at £69 per hour for a one-man service or £89 per hour for a two-man team, VAT included. 

A 1-hour minimum applies for up to 3 items within Oadby and nearby areas, and a 2-hour minimum applies for house and flat moves — regardless of whether you book one man or two.

 After the minimum, time is billed in 5-minute increments so you only pay for the time actually worked.

Time starts when we arrive at your pickup address and stops when everything is in place at your delivery address. We do not charge for travel to you before the job or for returning after. The only travel time charged is between your pickup, any additional stops, and your delivery address during the booking.

Your hourly rate includes the mover, a fully equipped van, and professional moving equipment — protective blankets, ratchet straps, sack truck, piano dolly, and shoulder dolly straps. Basic furniture dismantling and reassembly such as bed frames is included where needed, as long as the fixings are present. Stairs are included at no extra charge.

The one-man service at £69 per hour is ideal for single item collections, small moves, furniture pickups from Facebook Marketplace or eBay, and jobs where you are able to assist with lifting at one or both ends. 

The two-man team at £89 per hour is the right choice for full house moves, heavier items such as sofas or American fridge freezers, or any job where you need us to handle everything without assistance.

The customer had done everything right before we arrived. He had already moved the majority of his belongings himself, leaving only the larger, heavier items for us to handle. 

This is exactly the kind of preparation that makes an hourly rate work in the customer's favour — the less time we spend on smaller items, the more value you get from the time you pay for.

The main task on this job was the bed, which needed to be fully disassembled before it could be safely moved. We brought all the necessary tools, dismantled the frame efficiently, moved it to the van, and reassembled it at the destination.

 Furniture dismantling and reassembly is included in our hourly rate — there is no separate charge for this service.

Because the customer had prepared so well and the inventory was focused, the job was completed quickly. Everything was handled carefully and arrived safely. The final bill reflected the actual time worked — nothing more.
