Minimum charge one hour i.e £87
Generally, we do not require a deposit for our services. However, for end-of-month bookings, which are often in high demand, we may request a non-refundable deposit of £100 to secure your slot.
Regardless of whether a deposit is taken, we kindly ask that you inform us of any changes to your booking as soon as possible.
For your convenience, payment is collected upon completion of the job.
We conveniently accept payments via cash, bank transfer, and for added flexibility, we also take card payments, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
While packing services aren't a standard part of our offering, we do provide them for small to medium-sized moves. Our packing service includes all necessary materials (boxes, filling, tape) at a rate of £17 per box, in addition to our regular hourly moving charges which apply while we are packing.
This applies only to regular square boxes.
We offer straightforward to medium-level furniture assembly and disassembly services, including items like beds and wardrobes. Our team comes equipped with a variety of tools for this purpose, and our standard hourly rates apply during these tasks. Please note that due to the potential for issues with the reassembly of older furniture, we cannot accept liability for problems that may arise.
Our company maintains Public Liability insurance, which is in place to address significant damages to premises or injury to persons.
We do not offer individual item insurance due to the complexities involved in creating a pre-move inventory and valuation.
Please be assured that our team is dedicated to handling all items with the utmost diligence and care to minimize any risk of damage.
To ensure a smooth and efficient move, please have the following information ready when you book:
* Full collection and delivery addresses
* Your preferred start time for the move
* Details about parking and access at both locations (e.g., permit requirements, stairs, narrow doorways)
* Information about any exceptionally large, heavy, fragile or expensive items being moved.
We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so please get in touch as soon as you have a confirmed moving date to secure your booking.
Once our team arrives at the agreed time, our hourly rates will commence. This applies even if there are delays from the customer's end, such as not having acquired the keys to the new property.
In such situations, we will utilize the waiting time to efficiently load the van, organize remaining items, and position them for quicker loading in subsequent trips, ensuring we make the best use of the time while we await access.
* Safety First: If feasible, please ensure children and pets are in a safe and separate area during the main moving activities. This minimizes potential accidents and allows our team to work efficiently.
* Cost-Effective Organization: If you're mindful of the cost, having your items organized and staged near the main exit points will significantly speed up the loading process, potentially reducing the overall time and expense of your move.
* Secure Packing: If you have packed your own boxes, please ensure they are securely taped shut. This is essential for safe stacking in the van and prevents damage to your belongings.

I was let down by my original removal company on the day of our move, leaving us in a real panic with all our furniture ready to go. Desperately searching online—on a bank holiday, no less—I came across Slick Removals in Leicester. I honestly wasn’t expecting much given the short notice, but I called at 10am and, to my amazement, he was at my door within the hour.
Despite already having another job lined up, he came back afterward to finish our move without any complaints or delay. He dismantled and reassembled a large fridge/freezer, carried heavy furniture upstairs to the correct rooms, and even moved a massive TV with care and professionalism.
What impressed me most was the level of service: all equipment was provided, including lifting belts, and not a single scratch was left on any of our belongings. And to top it all off—the total cost was less than what I’d paid the previous company, who charged extra for stairs and dismantling items!
I’m genuinely blown away by their professionalism, efficiency, and value. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Slick Removals to anyone—they truly saved the day!
