How much do removals and man and van services cost in the LE2 area?

Our hourly rates are £59/hr for a 1-man service — suitable where you or someone capable is on site to assist with heavy or bulky items — or £89/hr for a 2-man team where we handle all the lifting ourselves. Both rates include VAT.

How does the minimum charge and billing work?

For all bookings across the LE2 area, our minimum charge is 2 hours — £178 for a 2-man team or £138 for a 1-man service. 

The clock starts when we arrive at your pickup address and stops when the last item is placed at your destination. 

The first 2 hours are your minimum charge — after that, time continues in 5-minute increments so you only pay for the time actually used. 

There are no travel fees to get to you, no call-out fees, no stairs charges, and no extra charges for multiple trips.

What is included in the hourly rate?

Our medium wheelbase Vauxhall Movano fits the residential streets of the LE2 area, parks on driveways without blocking the road, and loads from the closest safe point to your door. 

Every job includes furniture blankets, straps, professional moving equipment, and furniture assembly and disassembly tools — all included in the hourly rate.

Who is this service best suited for?

Our service works best for customers who handle their own packing. 

We are completely flexible: some prefer to move their smaller items themselves and leave the heavy furniture to us, while others want us to move absolutely everything.

We are well suited to moves up to 4-bedroom houses, provided the groundwork has been done — boxes packed, smaller items ready, and large furniture dismantled beforehand. 

If you dismantle beds and wardrobes before we arrive it speeds up the move and keeps your hourly bill down. 

If you need us to handle it, just let us know when booking and we will factor it in.

For larger moves — 3 or 4-bedroom houses with multiple wardrobes — we will plan realistically with you upfront. This may mean returning on a second day purely for reassembly, keeping your moving day fast and efficient rather than stretched.

Because we never charge extra for multiple trips, local house moves across the LE2 area where we can run efficient shuttle runs between properties are our absolute sweet spot.

How do I book, and do you take last-minute jobs?

To secure your slot in our diary, we take a £50 deposit by bank transfer which is fully deducted from your final bill — non-refundable if you cancel, as we turn away other work to hold your date.

Final payment is due once the last item is in place, before we leave.
