Our 2-man team is the right choice when no helper is available, or when you simply prefer a completely hands-off experience where you just point and we lift. We handle absolutely all the heavy lifting, navigating, and van packing for you. This service is ideal for larger 3 or 4-bedroom house removals, or moves with multiple heavy items and appliances.

​For larger moves, having two professionals on-site is usually the most time-efficient option overall. We get the van loaded faster and safely navigate stairs and tight corners, keeping your moving day running smoothly and stress-free.

A 2-hour minimum applies to standard pre-booked moves — £118 for the 1-man service or £178 for the 2-man team. We also offer a 1-hour minimum (£59) for local 1-man jobs of up to 3 items within Leicester city booked on the same day.

After your minimum is met, time is billed fairly in 5-minute increments so you only ever pay for the actual time worked. There is no per-trip charge; if your move needs more than one van load, the clock simply keeps running without any hidden fees.

• Dismantle in Advance: Large furniture like beds and wardrobes can add hours to a move. Having these dismantled before we arrive is the #1 way to keep costs down.

• ​Empty All Drawers: Full drawers make furniture dangerously heavy and can snap the joints on flat-pack units. 

• ​Fridge & Freezer Care: Units must be empty and defrosted. Since our L2H2 van is a high-roof (but not an extra-high top), tall fridges may need to travel lying down. Important: You must wait at least 3 hours before switching them back on to allow the compressor fluids to settle.

• Washing Machines: We can disconnect these if the water isolation tap is working. If the tap is seized or brittle, we cannot safely unplumb it due to leak risks. Note: We cannot disconnect hardwired electric or gas ovens.

• ​Stage to the Ground Floor: Stairs add the most time to any job. Moving boxes and small furniture to the ground floor or garage before we arrive is a massive time-saver.

• ​Keep Lids Flat: Please ensure box tops are flat and taped shut. Bulging lids mean we can’t stack items on top safely. Flat lids allow us to create a stable, secure load.

• ​Bags for "Gaps": Strong, closed bags (like laundry bags or heavy-duty bin bags) are perfectly fine for clothing, bedding, and soft items. These are actually helpful as they let us fill in small gaps in the van! Please do not use bags for fragile or heavy items.

• Weight & Consistency: Try to keep boxes at a manageable weight. Using uniform-sized boxes is a huge bonus—they stack perfectly and keep the load stable.

• ​TVs & Delicate Items: Flat-screen TVs are best in their original boxes. Without them, we must use extra blankets and securing time, which adds to the clock.

• ​Space for the Van: Ideally, we need a parking spot about 1.5 car lengths right outside your door. This provides a safe "loading zone" at the back of the van and keeps the carry distance short.

• Keeping it Simple: We always aim to park legally. However, if no legal parking is available and we receive a parking fine while carrying out your move, the cost of the ticket will be added to your final balance.

• ​Slick Tip: Asking a neighbor to save a spot or placing a couple of bins out the night before usually solves any parking puzzles!

• ​Children and Pets: For everyone’s safety, please ensure children and pets are in a separate room or with a sitter so we can move heavy items without interruption.

• Lending a Hand: If you’re feeling fit and want to help with the lifting, we’d love the help! It gets the job done faster and keeps your hourly total to a minimum.

We use a medium-wheelbase Vauxhall Movano, chosen specifically because it actually fits on Leicester’s narrow terraced streets and tight driveways. While oversized Luton vans often have to park streets away, we can usually park right at your front door. ​For heavy white goods, we use a genuine Magliner sack truck fitted with large 10-inch (25cm) pneumatic (air-filled) tyres. While cheap trolleys with small solid wheels bounce and jar over bumps, our pneumatic tyres roll smoothly over raised door thresholds and gravel driveways, giving sensitive appliances like washing machines a much softer, safer ride. It also features built-in stair sliders, so we glide heavy items down steps instead of bumping them.

​When a hallway is too narrow for a trolley to pivot, we switch to Shoulder Dolly lifting straps. This lets our team safely carry bulky, awkward items—like American fridge-freezers—around tight corners and through difficult doorways with complete control and zero floor damage.

​For exceptionally heavy or long items, we use an Evo “Super” piano skate with 200mm elastic wheels, rated to handle loads up to 900kg. These large wheels keep your furniture high off the ground, helping to prevent scuffs from uneven pavements, while the moulded rubber bumper protects your walls and doorframes indoors. The heavy-duty wheels can be locked uni-directional for straight pushes or set to full swivel for twisting large sideboards and sofas through tight spaces.

​For loading heavy appliances safely, we carry a Sealey PAR01 portable access ramp (rated to 450kg). It locks securely into the floor rail of our van's side sliding door, allowing us to smoothly pull white goods straight inside without dangerous solo lifting.

​We're just as careful with the small details. Instead of tape that leaves a sticky residue, we secure items with heavy-duty moving rubber bands. These keep furniture drawers firmly shut, lock fridge doors in place, and keep washing machine pipes securely out of the way to avoid fumbling and wasting time with trailing hoses—all without damaging your finish.

To keep our rates competitive and our schedule reliable for all customers, we operate the following professional terms:

• The Deposit: The £50 deposit is non-refundable if you cancel. Because we turn away other bookings to hold your specific date and time, this ensures our team's schedule remains secure.

• Rescheduling: We understand that move dates can shift. You may reschedule your booking once, provided you give us at least 48 hours' notice. The new date must be within 7 days of the original booking and is subject to our current availability.

• Our Guarantee: In the unlikely event that we have to cancel for any reason, your deposit is refunded in full, immediately.

• ​Final Payment: Payment is due upon completion of the move, before the driver leaves the site. Bank transfer is our preferred method, but we also accept cash and all major credit/debit cards. Unlike many providers, we have no card surcharges and all prices include VAT.

Hiring a professional man and van is usually better value because it includes the van, fuel, heavy-lifting equipment, and transit insurance — without the £500+ deposits or hidden damage risks of rental companies. For £59/hr or £89/hr, we handle the driving, the efficient van packing, and the physical strain.

If you've already hired a larger van for extra capacity, we can still act as your loading and offloading team — you drive the rented van, we handle the lifting at both ends. For larger moves, you can also run two vans on the same day: you drive your hired Luton with one load while our Movano runs alongside with a second load, completing the move in a single trip.
