Our house removals in Leicester and Leicestershire are charged at a clear hourly rate of £87 per hour for a professional two-mover team, VAT included. The minimum booking is 2 hours (£174), then time is billed in 5-minute increments, so you only pay for the time actually used.
Time starts when we arrive at your pickup address. Time stops when unloading is complete at your final delivery address. If you have multiple stops, the clock continues while we travel between addresses.
We do not charge for our travel to you before the job begins, or for returning after the job. The only travel time charged is between pickup, drop-off, and any additional stops during your booking.
Waiting time caused by access issues (keys, lifts, loading restrictions) is charged at the same hourly rate.
Your hourly rate includes two movers, a properly equipped removals van, and professional moving equipment such as protective blankets, straps and dollies. We load, transport and place items into the rooms you request where access allows.
Stairs are included at no extra charge.
Basic dismantling and reassembly is included where needed (for example bed frames) as long as it’s straightforward and the fixings are present.
If required, parking charges and tolls are paid separately by the customer. If something is likely to apply, we’ll flag it in advance so there are no surprises.
Some moves require two or more van loads depending on volume and access. There is no per-trip fee — with hourly pricing, we simply continue working and you pay only for the time needed.
To book, contact us with your moving date, pickup and delivery postcodes, and any stairs or access restrictions. If you have unusually heavy, fragile, or awkward items (for example an American fridge or a piano), mention that when you get in touch so we can plan the right handling and equipment.
To secure your date and time, we take a £50 booking deposit by bank transfer, which is deducted from your final bill. Once the deposit is received, we confirm your booking in writing. Final payment is due only when the job is complete.

Because we charge hourly, your total depends on the time needed for loading, travel and unloading on the day.
The biggest factors are how much there is to move, how well packed you are, and access (stairs, parking distance, lifts, long carries).
You can keep the cost down by having boxes packed and ready, and (where possible) having items on the ground floor when we arrive. A simple budgeting rule is:
Hourly rate × total time on the job = total cost (2-hour minimum applies).

These are budgeting examples for straightforward moves. If access is difficult (no parking, long carries, several flights of stairs, very heavy items), it can take longer.
If you’re well packed and ready, it can be quicker.
We don’t give guaranteed time estimates in advance because actual time depends on readiness and access on the day. Our pricing is designed to stay fair: you pay only for the time actually worked (after the 2-hour minimum).
No. Stairs are included at no extra charge — the hourly rate stays the same.
We don’t charge per stop within Leicestershire. If you need to drop items at storage or another address on the way, time simply continues at the hourly rate.
