Slick Removals is a local removals team based in South Wigston, covering Leicester and all of Leicestershire. We provide a professional 2 men + van service focused on careful handling and efficient home moves.
Our removals are charged at a clear hourly rate of £87 per hour (VAT included) with a 2-hour minimum (£174). There are no extra charges for stairs, and if you need multiple stops, we can include them as part of your move.
The price includes two movers, a fully equipped van and professional moving equipment.
To secure your date and time, we take a £50 booking deposit by bank transfer. This deposit is deducted from your final bill.

Time starts when we arrive at your pickup address and stops when unloading is complete at your final delivery address. If you have multiple stops, the time continues while we travel between addresses.
Travel between addresses and any waiting time (e.g., keys, lifts, access) is charged at the same hourly rate. We do not charge for our travel to you or returning after the job.
Outside Leicestershire: we can still help — any additional travel charges are agreed and confirmed before you book.
If required, parking charges and tolls are paid separately by the customer. We will always tell you in advance if something is likely to apply.
Most moves require two or more trips depending on volume and access. With hourly pricing, this is straightforward: we continue working and you pay only for the time needed, rather than being forced into a fixed “all-in” quote.
Most customers just want a rough idea of budget. Because we charge hourly, the total depends on how long loading, travel, and unloading takes on the day (access, stairs, parking distance, how packed you are, and how much there is to move).
You can keep costs down by having boxes packed and ready and, where possible, having items on the ground floor when we arrive.
Simple budgeting rule: hourly rate × total time on the job = total cost (2-hour minimum applies).

2 bed: 3–4 hours → £261–£348
3 bed: 4–6 hours → £348–£522
4 bed: 6–8 hours → £522–£696
These are budgeting examples for relatively straightforward moves. If access is difficult (long carries, no parking, many flights of stairs, very heavy items), it can take longer. If you’re well packed and ready, it can be quicker.

If you have any unusually large or fragile items (for example an American fridge or a piano), mention that when you get in touch so we can plan the right handling on the day.
A £50 booking deposit by bank transfer secures your date and time. This deposit is fully deducted from your final bill, so it’s not an extra charge — it simply reserves your slot.
Once the deposit is received, we confirm your booking in writing. Final payment is only due when the job is complete, and the remaining balance is charged at the agreed hourly rate.
We’re fully insured (goods-in-transit and public liability) and we handle your belongings carefully, using protective blankets, straps and the right equipment.
If you pack your own boxes, you’re responsible for how items are packed inside them — we’re responsible for moving and handling everything with care.
If you’re packing yourself, use strong boxes, don’t overfill them, and label fragile items clearly.
No. Stairs are included at no extra charge — the hourly rate stays the same.
We don’t charge per stop within Leicestershire. If you need to drop items at storage or another address on the way, time simply continues at the hourly rate.
