The collection point was ground floor with straightforward access. 

We loaded the van efficiently with furniture, boxes, and bags, which gave us the best opportunity to complete the delivery within the 2-hour minimum window and make the most of the remaining time for the customer.

The delivery point was considerably more complex. Parking was not available directly outside so we pulled onto the verge nearby, adding carry distance from the outset. 

Access into the building was through a restricted corridor on the right-hand side of the property. Behind the front door sat a meter cupboard which prevented the door from opening fully — furniture could not be carried straight through in one movement.

Our solution was to bring each item into the landing area first, close the door behind us to create the necessary clearance, and then carry everything up the stairs to the flat. 

This two-stage process was the only safe way to navigate the restricted entrance without risking damage to the door frame, the meter cupboard, or the items being moved. 

The customer and his fellow students helped at the delivery point which kept things moving efficiently. 

When we reached the one-hour mark with the main move complete, there was still time remaining on the 2-hour minimum. 

Rather than leaving unused time the customer had already paid for, the customer requested us to collect a friend's belongings who was also moving into the same building. 

We loaded and delivered their items within the remaining time. Two students moved safely and completely for the cost of a single booking.
