Our Vauxhall Movano L2H2 is a medium-wheelbase, high-roof van — sized to take a full room of boxes, tubs, bags and light furniture comfortably. It loads through both rear doors and a side sliding door, so we can work from whichever side gives the best access at tight London addresses.

The load bay measures 308 cm long, 176 cm wide (138 cm between the wheel arches) and 189 cm high — around 11.5 cubic metres. That comfortably holds a student room or a flat's worth of boxes, tubs, bags and longer items such as a mattress, bed frame or flat-pack wardrobe. 

For bigger loads, just send a list or photos when you book and we'll confirm it fits in one go.

It also fits where a Luton van struggles. A Luton needs clear space not just for its own length but for the tail lift to deploy behind it, so its real parking footprint is longer than it looks — which makes it hard to place on tight London streets, in estate parking, or close to a flat entrance. Our van's compact size lets us park closer to the door at both ends, keeping loading and unloading quick.

Security matters too. In busy parts of London we can open and close the van doors between trips rather than leaving it standing open — which keeps your belongings secure while we're carrying loads up into a flat.

For flat moves with long corridors and long internal walks, we use the right kit for the distance: a Magliner sack truck for stacked boxes and a piano dolly for heavier furniture such as chests of drawers. The van also carries custom lashing points, furniture blankets and straps, so everything is secured for the motorway run and arrives the way it left.

Every Leicestershire–London move is priced as a fixed price that includes up to one hour loading at the start and one hour unloading at the destination, with ULEZ, the Congestion Charge and VAT already included. If you need more time at either end, you simply pay for the additional time at our standard hourly rate — £59 for one man or £89 for a two-man team — billed in 5-minute increments.

The published prices are for our one-man service. Two-man moves to or from London are quoted individually — just send the details and we'll confirm a fixed price.

If you can arrange parking near the entrance at either end, it helps keep the move quick. We use free or loading parking wherever it's available.

Where a parking charge or fine is unavoidable at either address — such as a paid meter bay or a penalty in a restricted London zone — that cost is passed on to you.
